MOST IN NEED

FOSTER PETS

These animals often have unique stories, remarkable resilience, and an abundance of love to offer.  We emphasize their individual personalities and the special bond that can be formed with a mature companion. By highlighting their qualities and sharing their stories, we aim to break the stereotypes that sometimes overshadow adult animals in favor of puppies or kittens. Through compelling visuals and heartwarming narratives, we want to convey fostering an adult animal is not just an act of kindness but an opportunity to welcome a loyal and grateful friend into one's life.

By addressing the unique needs and backgrounds of each adult foster animal, we connect potential adopters to their stories, increasing the chances of finding the perfect match. Furthermore, we stress the incredible transformation that can occur when an animal transitions from foster care to a permanent, loving home, encouraging prospective adopters to be part of this heartwarming journey. Foster an adult animal in need today!

If you can foster our most in need pets, please list their name on your foster questionnaire under OTHER INTERESTS!

GRANADA

Granada has an aversion for loud noises and this can make her very uncomfortable in the shelter. She is great with other dogs, and easy to walk on a leash.

She needs placement in a home with an ADOPTION AMBASSADOR who can help her be adopted off-site. She needs a home with respectful children or homes with older children.

PANDA

Panda has done well with other dogs in the shelter and needs some times away from the shelter for Heartworm treatment. Panda would thrive in an environment with high affection.

Heartworm treatment lasts roughly 60 days. If you can commit to that time frame, please let us know!

GLOWORM

Glo-Worm is an adult but lacks confidence. Glo-Worm is very fearful in the shelter environment but is also easy to handle.

This kiddo has never experienced true dog life and needs exposure to humans to find they aren't scary.

Socialization fosters generally last between 4 weeks and 2 months, but Glo's foster may choose to be an ADOPTION AMBASSADOR.

TURKEY

Turkey is a senior girl who is a longer term resident at SACC. She could use a more relaxed environment than the shelter as it is becoming more stressful than her.

Turkey is easy-going and fun-loving!
