Foster Medical Issues

Broken Limb

Upper Respiratory Infection

Kennel Cough

Skin Issues

Weight Gain/Loss

Issues Arising from Lack of Care

Here's the great secret, almost anyone can do it! Injuries take time, patience, and a watchful eye to heal. Generally, that is what we are asking of our fosters.

  • Fosters must be available to take animals to veterinary care and special care appointments.

  • Fosters must report all issues arising with medical care to the Placement Manager.

  • Fosters must be available to bring the companion animals in for re-checks at the shelter when needed.

The rest, we can tell you how to do.

It is always better for an ill or injured animal to have placement outside of the animal shelter than inside.
