What's a Puppy Love-Link?
Puppy Love-Links are field trips. You visit the shelter, leave in the morning or afternoon, and return the companion animal by 5 PM.

Do you offer supplies?
Yes, we offer supplies that may be needed for both field trips and sleepovers. Any staff member can assist you in gathering materials and signing your paperwork.

Can I become an Adoption Ambassador after a sleepover?
Of course. You can reach out to the Placement Manager at 865-440-3945 and relay the message that you are having a great time with your new friend and would love to foster him or her until time for a forever family. How Long is a Sleepover?
A sleepover lasts anywhere from overnight to the whole weekend!
What is there's an overnight emergency?
If there is an overnight emergency you call the manager on call. This will always be Tiffany at 865-440-3945 or Luna at 865-603-2730.
Do I have to visit the shelter for re-checks?
No, by the time animals are old enough for a field trip and have had all the needed medical and behavioral care, they no longer require re-check appointments.

What is someone is interested in adoption?
If someone is interested during a sleepover or field trip, please have them visit sevieranimalcarecenter.com/adoption.html. Here they scroll down to the red adoption application and complete the form.

Do my kids get community service for sleepovers?
Yes, kids can get volunteer or community service hours if they are under 18 year old for sharing in the household experience of providing loving care and attention for even very short-term placements in the home.

Before leaving the shelter, always request to speak to the Placement Manager so that a form can be provided and documented with these hours!
